Victor Luis Cobos, M.D., F.A.C.S.  
                                              

Victor L. Cobos is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of The Denton County Medical Society, The Texas Medical Association, The American Medical Association, and The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.  His practice is in the specialty of General, Endocrine, Oncologic, and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Texas Health Resource Presbyterian Hospital of Denton where he serves as Chief of Staff.  Other affiliations include Texas Health Resource Denton Surgery Center and Atrium Hospital in Corinth where he is the Director of Wound Care.

He is a Texas native who graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1987 and from The University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science in 1990.  He then graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1994.

Dr. Cobos completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Cobos makes his home in Denton with his wife Carol and their two sons.
